Classic Ending
Mathau and Stiller were great and the ending was as creative as could be especially for a 70's action/drama movie.

Engrossing Gritty Thriller from the 1970s
It's the perfect antidote for today's current big budget, explosion-heav y popcorn movies. "Pelham" offers brilliant location photography (you can pratically smell the subway), a realistic approach (no last minute rescues), and great low-key performances (particularly by Walter Matthau and Jerry Stiller).
Great choice, Hulu! How about some more forgotten classics from the 70s? Was this review helpful?

best NYC film ever
This gem of a film is indeed a classic, and holds up just as well as it did back in the early 70's. You won't see a better NYC film; captures the gritty attitude of life in NY, great actors/acting.
