What a real refreshment to see these old Rifleman shows once again. This was during a time in our country where the Bible and wholesome values were highly respected. Oh that this great land that we love would turn to examples like this instead of supporting terrorists who would kill our men in uniform right here on US soil!

In my opinion..the best TV western of them all and thats really ripping my loves apart. Bonanza..yes..wonderful series, deep stories and characters, Gunsmoke..yup..Wild West...ect. but they just don't have the soul of Rifleman. Connors plays the hard man but decent man beautifully and Crawford compliments the father perfectly. 30 mins works well because of the intensity level, this Western is just a pure delight to watch { btw..did you know Johnny Crawford was a singer? hit a search engine and check it out } Hulu you guy's have gained bigtime fans with this selection of programming..Rifleman folk are family.

I really enjoyed The Rifleman as a kid. I was sad to see an episode that I clearly recall as the show was active (not a rerun) was not available. Hopefully it will in the future. In any case, I recall watching the show when I was 7 years old. I then recall the 7:30 pm Friday night reruns in 1965 (by then I was in 5th grade), just after Dad would watch Walther Cronkite. Friday's were fun for me then as I could look forward to The Man from UNCLE and The Wild Wild West later that evening. Later that night, if I was allowed to stay up, I could watch Shock Theater with Shock Armstrong in that goofy Frankenstein mask and football uniform (you can look him up, he was on WTVT Tampa/St.Petersburg - channel 13). Back to The Rifleman, I liked his attitude, his clear cut values, honest ways. You could count on him to do the right thing. He was an American Knight Cowboy in the best tradition. OH as to Mark, at 7, when I first saw the show, he looked like an older kid to me! HA how things change.

If there was a better half hour western on television in my lifetime, I must have missed it. Thanks to Hulu for airing the episodes that were available, and let's hope that the rest of the episodes become available soon. Along the lines of Andy Griffith and Leave it to Beaver when it comes to teaching and respecting family values and consideration of others.
