was completely lacking in certain areas with regard to realism and then was overboard in other areas. For example, the buffalo hunt could have been easily shown without actually harming/killing the buffalo. And what was up with the long vision quest/sundance scenes? He spent more time getting high, sweaty and cut up than he did in killing the white guys at the fort, which was the whole point of conflict.
