Predictable writing devices, cliches galore, incredibly shallow acting with the exception of 1.5 people...and the cheesiest music. A harpsichord? Really?? I will say, the best part of episode one is how quickly everyone goes from 'shocked & saddened' over the death of a so n' so (not to spoil it) to 'totally over it & embarking on petty sexual dramas'.
Perhaps if we had seen stronger relationships between the characters first and on-going before shifting the story into the main drama - the audience would have more sympathy for the characters involved. The opening credits are hilarious too - no names... just random people in a soft lense montage. 'The Palace... starring, some girl! Some girl who looks like the girl before! Handsome bad actor! Less handsome bad actor! Random Black guy... people talking... VERY TENSE QUEEN...'
Seriously, who wrote this dribble?
