I felt sad for michael at the end, when he says he saw his life flash before his eyes, and then describes it...he's a sad character, isn't he? He's so clueless it's funny, but this time, it was sad.
It's sad that he can't find the love he wants, but I actually felt good for him for standing up for what he wants. We all saw how he became a puppet for Jan. Now he knows what he wants in life and won't let anyone get in the way. His final speech was one of optimism. He believes he'll achieve those things in life and is now free to make that happen. Good for him. I also trust that it will happen for him.
