Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Rating_empty A great story trumps everything!!
The acting was average but effective. The dialogue was sometimes not very clear to me. No fancy special effects either. BUT when you have a great story, it keeps you hooked no matter what! The unfolding of the plot is star of this film!

I loved the fact that the filmmakers did not go over the top in trying to present this story. When you have war, spies & love troubles it would have been very easy for them to sensationalize every aspect of it. Especially since it is a true story. Hollywood usually ruins stories like these with needless exaggerations to spice it up.

But thankfully this script has no "fluff". No James Bond hype. And no superheroes. It presents the characters as very real people who are just carrying out their sworn duties. "They don't make 'em like this anymore."

It would be interesting to find out what happened to the real-life German agent beyond the time span of this film. mmm??

I give it a 4-star salute !!!!
