The Last Days of Disco is all about the disco era. It is a shallow and ham-handed treatment of an important movement. It is callow and unironic. Only the dim witted would enjoy it. There's not much 'there' there.

Just finished watching this ... not bad. Clever, and cultish.

Alot of tongue in cheek humor as well as a bit of a mystery. Add to that hot women and good acting and even though i wasnt around for disco, pretty damn good movie

a clever witty movie with many of the same actors of other clever movies ,but including the mezmerizing kate bekinsale. having lived through the disco era i can honestly say that the characters while smart,did little justice to real life characters of the same social and educational reality. all the sparky people in real life were too busy getting high to carry on a real conversation about anything ,but "where can i get some blow?" "anybody seen jimmy? i heard he has some great thai stick!" i enjoyed the movie,i also enjoyed 'barcelona' another flick that just makes you want to go out and be clever too by any means nesesary. this is a great movie to put on if you want to impress a wannabe socialite girl. she will think so much more of you than you deserve you little wannabe clever guy. dont even think of playing it for a cynic. she will waltz right out of your life just like disco.........

It could use a bit more editing, but overall, it was enjoyable. I had never heard of this movie, so the surprise of seeing it made it a five star movie - but, a bit more objectively it's about a three and a half to four stars.
