The Denis Leary Podcast

Bill Hicks left a pack of smokes back stage for you with the message "Wish I had gotten these to you sooner".LOL Love that gag. Shame Leary had them remove it from the final broadcast of his roast. Proving his shame no less. Coward should just apologies and get on with his life. It is his denial that helps maintain people anger at him. He stole from a better comedian and then violently denied it for years, anyone with ears that doesn't want to blow Leary can tell that.

I'm sorry, but the jokes he supposedly "ripped off" weren't all that original even by Hicks himself. There's nothing amazing about telling the irony of a famous health dude prematurely dropping dead from a heart attack at a young age. Same goes for rants about smoking. I myself have heard them a billion times from people and would never think to accuse them of stealing Hicks' act. I'll bet thousands of people told the exact same joke who never even heard of Denis or Bill.Accusations that Leary ripped off Hicks' persona are also BS. Hicks was pretty calm on stage. Denis? Er.. no. Is it because they both smoked during their routines? I wasn't aware Bill Hicks invented smoking on stage! Oh my God! What a unique breakthrough! Did he copyright it?Not to mention this was how long ago? And you people are still riding that crap? Move the hell on already. It's amazing how those are the only instances anyone can ever point out but they never mention any of the countless other things Leary has done.Seriously, if anyone can point me to something other than the fact that they both smoked and told jokes about it, (Which I've listened to, and they're only similar, not even the same anyhow) then please do. Otherwise, the whole thing is getting just lame.Anyway, back on subject. The podcasts are awesome. Keep up the good work Denis, and ignore the morons.
