Chicago? A mid-size city? It's the third largest city in the country (used to be second, hence "Second City") with 10 million people in the Chicagoland area, which is slightly larger than the Paris metro area. That constitutes "mid-size"? Ok then. I guess that perception just reflects how our national and international profile has sunken over the years. The Olympics would have really helped with that. Oh well.
