I liked the story...good action...the opening scene is great.
John Savage, the lead....could use some more acting lessons....but his supporting cast is quite good..including Christopher Plummer (Professor Lakos), and Ed Lauter (Anderson)..they give solid performances.
I liked the subtle undertones of the shakespeare/bacon cypher-cover up idea...I think they should have rolled that out more.
Overall it was an entertaining movie and would recommend it if you have some free time and want a descent bit of action for the night.
It's more than watchable in a "three days/condor" tradition, John Savage is no Redford but from the producers of the "Terminator" series not a bad soviet era thriller...a nice treat to find browsing the Hulu library.
I don't know what movie the other two posters were watching, but I found this movie to be a deviation from the normal action movie formula and definately worth a watch. Very suspensful from start to finish. Good acting with the exception of the KGB cypher guy who overacted. Interesting plot with parallels, twists, foils, and great settings. If your favorite action movie is Commando or Smokin' Aces, you will probably find this movie boring, however if you enjoy a Dirty Harry action style with rich character development, interesting locales, and good acting definately watch it.
