Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Rating_empty Surfs Up!
I just happened to give this show a try and I am very pleasantly surprised. I thought it was about gang life, upon first look, but it's really a documentary style reality show about the local surfing scene in Hawaii (which can apparently be pretty rough in its own way). It follows real people in their day to day activities, much like the Carrier series (also on Hulu).

It reminds me a lot of the skating documentary Dogtown and Z-Boys, but with more emphasis on the surfing aspect. Personally, I'd rather watch real "reality shows" like this as opposed to a gaggle of supermodels stuck in a Manhattan loft who need to learn how to cook for themselves or eat a computer keyboard or risk being "voted off".

The 808 is top-notch, REAL reality.
