No, Glenda's right. Black folk tend to be called Black British in the UK. Calling them African-British is imposing an Americanism on the British context. I see a few scholars doing it, but not the general population.Furthermore, Blacks in Britain tend to come either from the Caribbean or from sub-Saharan Africa (3 or fewer generations back): so they are likely to identify as Guyanan-British, Nigerian-British etc. The Black American population and the history of its presence in the UK is distinctly different from that of black folk in the UK.
