Captions Search searches the closed captioning files of thousands of videos from hundreds of shows to help you seek out memorable moments, view popular segments, and even jump straight to the punch line of your favorite videos. To use this tool, select the "Captions" tab that appears under the video you're watching and enter a word or phrase into the Captions Search box. From those results, you can hover over the thumbnail images on the left to preview the video, or click on a result to start playing the video from that point.

As we call up your search results, we'll also use a popularity graph, or "Heat Map," to highlight (in blue) the location of your search results within the video. This Heat Map gives you a visual sense for the parts of the video that have been viewed the most; you can also click on the chart to navigate to any point within the captions.
