With Strikeforce acquiring much of ProElite's remaining assets and fighter contracts, including a deal with Showtime and CBS, it looks like it is very likely that we'll get to see Cung Le defend his title before the end of this year. At the rate Strikeforce is growing, Cung Le, or any fighter under the organization, may never have to leave Strikeforce and go to the UFC to face great competition.
Also, pretty soon there will be no longer any new taped fights from Strikeforce's past events airing on NBC and Hulu, at least until the end of their contract with NBC, so it's time to subscribe to Showtime if you haven't already.
I'm really excited of the possibilities that Strikeforce can bring to the table for MMA fans. Cung Le vs Robbie Lawler to unify the middleweight title? Co-promote a lightweight tournament with DREAM? Co-promote with Affliction and M-1 to have Alistair Overeem vs Fedor Emelianenko?
How about Kimbo Slice vs Bob Sapp? I'd pay to see that.
