Here's how it works: If you like this show, you have a sense of humor. The amount that you like this show is the extent to which you have a sense of humor.
You haters have been faking it your whole lives, pointing out 'irony', 'satire', and 'big picture' crap. Comedy is not about storytelling and plot. It is about jokes, absurdity, and inappropriateness.
By combining jokes with good storytelling, the industry makes comedy that is digestible to people who don't have a sense of humor. They make bad jokes obvious, and even have been known to include a 'laugh track', so that you know when you are supposed to laugh. It is humor training wheels - that way, humorless people can fit in!
In contrast, Stella is 100% pure funny. It doesn't explain itself spoon feed punch lines. It makes humorless people uncomfortable. They feel like they don't "get" it. Trying to understand humor kills it.
