If you have a couple of hours to kill watching the same dialog run over and over and over again then by all means, watch this. It is just repetitive and becomes inane after about 20 minutes.
This Movie Was Hot it was a Low Budget Hood Movie So 2 Compare it 2 a hollywood bloCC buster Like Scarface staring "Al Pacino" would be unfair nd stupid ...."Get Down Or Lay Down"
The film though considered to be a "hip hop classic" is nothing more than a bunch of big name rappers having a movie under their resume so they can try and branch out as actors when their careers start going sour. This movie may be considered a "black scarface" for some, but the fact of the matter is that this film only made (U.S. Box Office: $2,106,838) which can also be called a box office bomb...
Though many like to excuse the poor acting and screenplay due to the fact thats it's suppose to "look realistic" I for one happen to think a good film has a good balance of professionalism and raw action, not a mesh of scenes put together in the minutes of opening night.
I personally would recommend Blood in, Blood out over this overly rushed, barely planned out, botched movie i just had the misfortune to watch.
