Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Well documented and motivating
I liked the idea. It is not just the idea, it is the confidence and the effort put up by everyone that made the company pretty big. I am really impressed by the capabilities of Ron in raising money and everyone else in executing the business. Particularly paul and his geek squad should be applauded. Paul does seem like a big team player, accepting the failures and sharing the success. I would work for a company like this.

Rating_full Rating_empty Rating_empty Rating_empty Rating_empty startup mind games
Ron is so typical of these start-up junkies that cause everyone around them to suffer. Their employees give up valuable years of their life and IF the company makes money, only the fat get fatter. There is absolutely no compensation for the loss of sleep and family life that these gold-digging CEOs call for from their naive and hopeful employees. Ron and his mind games will end up exactly where they belong.

Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Excellent info and inside look
As starting a new career in Marketing for a fund backed business venture with my partners I laughed at things we have gone through and cringed at things to come. Thank you for making this available and with my soon to be two state dwelling arrangement I may have to look into this service. Stellar Idea

Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Rating_empty New Media Entreprenuer
As a partnership based Entreprenuer I must say watching the give and take of the Angel, VC, A, B, & C rounds (or series) of investing and the human tricks one must perform to excel at each one was quite informative and entertaining. This show speaks to the Masaai Warrior in us all: 'hunt lion with spear - feed carcass to children. Repeat.'

Taking one step back, I think to myself: "Hmmm, this is the greatness of America." We can give ourselves permission to dream and then find a few other cloud-jumpers to join us in our flights of fancy. Future in Review 2008 in San Diego is an indication that American dreamers are intent on changing the world for better.

"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of the their dreams." - Eleanor Roosevelt

Very good show from MOJO. I have been impressed with their content. Working for a start-up (albeit not VC backed), I thought it pretty well captured the essence of the business.

Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Rating_empty Product Placement
The pop up captions with sound effect are annoying. "URL = Uniform Resource Locator"? Wow, thank you! I'm sure that's helpful to the millions of viewers who are familiar with Uniform Resource Locators, but haven't encountered the obscure abbreviation URL.

It didn't seem like MSFT product placement as much as the company buying some Microsoft marketing hype. I thought Microsoft came off looking rather badly, since the they went from a fully functioning site, implemented using open source, to a incomplete and broken site, running on Microsoft's platform. Reminds me of what happened to Microsoft when they acquired Hotmail and tried unsuccessfully to shed FreeBSD in favor of Windows NT.

Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Rating_full Awesome show (minus the MSFT shilling!)
If you've never worked in a VC-backed startup before, then now you do. I'm a web entrepreneur and have gone through all of this! You might think they're crazy, but it's an amazing experience to ride that roller coaster from big hopes to dashed dreams... that light at the end of the tunnel that you find is actually a train heading towards you. Excellent show!

I do have to take issue with the Microsoft .NET shilling at the end.... Google, Yahoo and yes, even Hulu.com all run on open source platforms to deliver the content you are seeing right now. Methinks someone got paiiiiiid... :) Kind of shady, but sometimes hustling in the startup world makes you do things! If you are an entrepreneur, you owe it to yourself and your investors to choose the best platform with the least TCO. Do your homework!
