It's too bad that the money people behind the Stargate Franchise are foolish enough to have bought into this show. Now they'll be hesitant to put money into another sci-fi show with potential.
I liked both Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis. Sure, sometimes SG-1's sets and costumes looked cheap (especially in the Showtime years), and the continous over-the-top bad guys theme got a little stale, but both shows made excellent use of a mixture of drama, action, and comedy to make the viewers keep coming back for more.
SGU on the other hand is just dull. Covering Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs could have been done in 1-2 episodes, not drawn out across the season. Adding sex and lesbian plot lines would maybe be interesting if there was actually some skin (okay, I'm a nerdy perv) but they show more flesh on network daytime soaps.
No, this franchise has jumped the shark.

Well robin he made me watch a drama called stargate yawniverse after that i must have fell into a deep coma.

This show has killed it for me as being a stargate saga fan, not a single episoide was good so farin this show,im not going into depth about, just plain horrible, and if i ever get a chance to meet Brad Wright in person imma smack some stars that'll be worth exploring into him better than his show!

All because I watched this show. What a boring, terrible, episode. If the ship blew up at the end and killed everybody it would of been a step up in the cheer level.
I don't know what they are smoking at "SyFy", but they have just killed the Stargate franchise. All I could think as I was watching these bunch of whiners on a fantastic spaceship moan and groan and hide in their corners was "They cancelled Stargate Atlantis for this"!!!???

Next week: in a daring episodee the Destiny's toilets overflow while we learn more about these loser's home lives that are screwed up beyond description. Meanwhile, we also learn that Stargate command purposedly sent these idiots out to the other side of the galaxy to improve the earth's gene pool.

This is not a SyFi. It's SOAP OPERA. The writers should be terminated. I like sex just as much as anyone else. But know off the sex, and get back to SyFi

When are the producers going to stop torturing us with this dribble? OMG. This is the worst writing I've seen since ... I don't know when. Bring back the old writers. Bring back cool technology, weapons, aliens, bad guys. But please, we're doing nothing here but man fighting man. The premise to get home is right out of Star Trek, Voyager. Now that show had better ideas of cool aliens, planets and bad guys. So please bring back Atlantis! You're going to lose viewers including me. If you don't learn from Voyager, then you're going to crash and burn long before they did.

Unless I hear that it's taken a big step forward in quality, I think I am, like many other viewers, pretty much done giving SGU a chance

First off: I never though the stargate franchise would turn out like this. Please bring back the previous incarnations. I am so bored most of the time! "Time" was a great episode and that was followed by the worst episode of a stargate show I've ever seen.
If things don't change soon, I will not waste my time and accept the fact that "Stargate" is dead. I will stop buying episodes on iTunes and I will stop defending the show when my friends call it LAME!
Please end the pain!
