Responsibilities:
Account Executives are responsible for agency and advertising relationships, prospecting and sales.
- Drive online advertising sales, meet and exceed all sales goals.
- Focus on client direct and named agencies in the Western region.
- Work as a partner to help clients reach their goals and initiatives.
- Manage, renew and up-sell existing clients.
- Prepare proposals and respond to RFP's with a high degree of professionalism,
quality and in a timely manner.
- Participate and represent Hulu at local industry events.
- Work with Account Management (including web traffic coordinator)
to ensure that client's needs are being met to the best of our ability.
- Stay current of online advertising trends and innovations.
- Prospecting and cold calling skills necessary.
- Some travel required - 30%.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 year previous sales experience in related field, preferably online sales.
- Ability to negotiate/sell the intrinsic value of a program to customers, not just
the program/price.
- Ability to manage a specific territory and mine it for business opportunities in order
to meet quotas.
- Ability to articulate future business within your territory and provide weekly updates
and reports to management.
- Ability to create forecasting models, including budget, dates, probability to close and
inventory estimates.
- Ability to work in a fast pace, exciting environment.
- Strong ethics.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Education: Bachelors Degree.

Director, Ad Sales Operations
Los Angeles, CA
Hulu’s newly created Digital Media Sales division is seeking a senior level advertising operations individual for the purpose of guiding the further development of its growing ad sales business, building a support team, and managing its daily workflows and vendor relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of internal and external trafficking teams
- Act as point for sales team on all escalated campaign concerns
- Manage Hulu network, site, and product configurations
- Work with Director, Product Development on the implementation of new ad products and in the maintenance and troubleshooting of site tagging concerns
- Train and supervise sales planners in the use of DART Sales Manager, Operative Dashboard or like product for inventory management and reservations
- Evaluate new software packages as needed to support advertising sales division
- Where required, negotiate contracts and fees with vendors, including software and service vendors
- Act as liaison to Accounts Receivable and Finance departments and oversee the proper billing of advertiser-related revenues
- Generate and present pipeline reports for sales management
- Assist SVP in evaluating remnant ad networks and closing deals with them
- Manage day-to-day optimization of campaigns and ad networks to maximize yield
- Continually reevaluate operations workflows for increased efficiency
Requirements:
- 10+ years of relevant work experience
- 5-7 years experience in advertising sales or operations roles.
- Ability to recruit and build a team of campaign management professionals
- Demonstrated experience in selecting and managing outsourcing organizations to balance workload when needed
- Familiarity with recent innovations in advertising products, most notably rich media overlays and video advertising.
- Demonstrated understanding of serving methodologies for rich media and video placements
- Experience with trafficking procedures and concerns related to rich media and video placements
- Familiarity with the implementation of advertising calls in LightingCast and DoubleClick consoles and advertising in Adobe Flash players
- Understanding of various video syndication platforms
Advertising Operations management experience:
Expertise with software packages commonly used across the Ad Ops value chain including in the areas of:
- Sales automation
- Inventory management
- Video Ad management
- Rich media management
- Ad serving
Expertise in designing ad operations workflows in the following areas:
- campaign management
- creative management
- revenue recognition
- billing and reconciliation
