So glad to hear Southland has been picked up by TNT after being cancelled by NBC. Hopefully they realized how much potential the show has and will do it justice!

Fortunately TNT has picked up the second season of the show from NBC. They had already filmed 6 episodes of the show before NBC decided to drop it for being to dark and gritty for 9 pm, or maybe they didn't think it was a good lead-in for Jay Leno. The next question of course is whether or not cable TV can handle the show's budget if they were to film more episodes. See 2 other replies

Yeah, Trauma is junk. Couldn't bring myself to watch Mercy. Good news though. TNT has picked up the broadcast rights for Southland. Should be back in January.

It has been confirmed, folks. One of my favorite new shows to come along in a really, really long time got the axe.

NBC announced on October 9th that they were canceling Southland. They're shopping it around to other networks, so there's a chance somebody else will pick it up and run with it, but for now, there will be no more Southland.

What a shame. Not since Law and Order have I been so infatuated with a drama involving police. What a shame. I will buy the season on DVD. It is the least I can do.
