. I only watched the first episode, and I refuse to watch anymore. This is absolutely reprehensible. A fiasco perpetrated by people that deserve no one's respect. Were these people criminals? Yes. Do any of the deserve this sort of treatment? No. Not one. Other than the guy with DUI (who could have potentially hurt or killed someone), these were all crimes without victims. So because someone was in contempt of court, you have the right to drag them out to not only to humiliate them publicly, AND on national television, and put a permanent record of that humiliation on the Internet? A room full of cops pointing at them and laughing it up about how dumb they are, dehumanizing them? Over contempt of court!? Disgusting.
Every single DETECTIVE involved in that little show had better things to do. Period. Who's kids were assaulted physically or sexually, who's house was robbed, what shipment of illegal firearms went unchecked because a bunch of LEO's decided to go poke fun at some folks like a bunch of highschoolers. Laugh it up, idiots.
The constituents pay their taxes and therefore these sad excuses for law enforcement to serve and protect, not to get their jollies off by humiliating people. Twenty two minutes of television has no right to make me this angry, but boy has it EVER.
I don't get up in arms about people's feelings, but this is way over the line. Can you say cruel and unusual punishment? If any of the detectives and law enforcement involved in this sham read this, I hope you are ashamed of yourself. Stop jerking around on television and go do some legitimate police work
