If your looking for a truly unique movie experience....look no further. Quick paced and always changing. There is never any overlap as you follow one character to the next.

I can definitely appreciate this movie. It was exhausting dealing with the way the characters constantly changed, but I wouldn't change anything. Brilliant and Insane at the same time, I can see how some busy people wouldn't care for it.

There may not be a better commentary on the vapidity and pointlessness of our culture, where everyone has too much education, too much time on their hands, and not nearly enough purpose to their life. The TV fetishist, the senior citizen raging against the machine (seriously, is their anything more pathetic than an elderly anarchist? An middle aged gangbanger, I guess), the stoners, the conspiracy theorist: this is who we are. This is what we've become.
If you've ever been to Austin, you've overheard the conversation where the guy argues that Scooby-Doo is a corporate effort to impose groupthink on America's Unsuspecting Youth. These are disconnected, unhappy people, so obsessed with navel-gazing, endlessly pacing the floors of their own circumstances. As social commentary, it's brilliant.

definitely a product of Austin, and the 90's. I can understand if some people view it as a waste of time (in some ways it is). I view it more as an interesting cultural artifact. I have lived in Austin and these people are everywhere, and depending on your point of view its a great thing. Having a love for the strange is almost required, and having lived among them i find a certain charm to seeing a movie like this. and dont forget this was Linklaters first effort (with a nothing budget) which is pretty impressive.

Entertaining movie, a little slow towards the end but other than that I enjoyed it.

This is the most vapid movie I've ever seen, the momentary pseudo-clever lines that occur once every 10 minutes or so, seem contrived and full of misplaced effort if given any prolonged thought.
I never want to have to ever have a single thought about this movie, let alone see it again.
