Description

From Emmy Award-winning writer Mitchell Hurwitz ("Arrested Development") and Eric and Kim Tannenbaum ("Two and a Half Men") comes SIT DOWN, SHUT UP, an animated comedy that focuses on the lives of staff members at a high school in a small Florida fishing town (Go Baiters!) who never lose sight of the fact that the children must ALWAYS come second. We watch them grapple with their own egos, needs and personal agendas, their petty insecurities and prejudices, unrequited loves and ruthless battles for power - and that's just at the staff meeting.

Really, I cannot comprehend who thought making this show was a good idea.

Their "jokes" are just things like "look at me I'm bisexual haha!" or "look I'll pick on the German teacher haha he gets fired every episode!"

All the stupid of South Park, but throw out the funny parts. About as funny as a gas station urinal.

Rofl I knew this thing would fail from the get-go .

the commercials were extremely UNFUNNY. The animation is cheap and uninspired... looks like a Nick toon.

Predictable jokes, lame punch-lines, terrible stories.

Why are television executives so stupid? I can tell instantly when a movie or TV show will fail... How do these things slip by over payed professionals?

This show is absolute garbage. Most of the cartoon shows now are taking a big hit in the comedy world, and this one just furthers the chain. It's not funny at all, it's not entertaining at all, and it drags on forever. Terrible show.

Did you also boycott the movie "Knocked Up" because of its name?

So you're offended by the name of this show, but you find nothing wrong with what Family Guy (and its clones) do? You also don't think the various parts of Glee that make it wonderfully humorous (slutty cheerleader, lesbian coach, etc.) aren't nearly as offensive as the phrase "sit down, shut up"? I'm willing to bet that McFarland's piles of crap have said something similar many times. I know I've seen enough reruns to easily list 10 scenes that are way worse than the words shut up.

Oh, and lulz for you wanting FOX to keep the Simpsons on. Someone should have unplugged the life support on that show 5 years ago. See 5 other replies

I keep forcing myself to stay up late to watch the delayed (due to baseball) syndication on Fox, and then once it finally airs around 2 or 3am, I'm so tired I pass out during the commercial break. And then if it's a rerun it doesn't get posted on Hulu.

I got into this show late, but I wanna enjoy it too! Does this bother anyone else?
