Found by accident - left wanting more

I was looking forward to Amy Sherman Palladino's next project. I knew one was in the works, but never saw it air. I googled her and found that the project came and went before it could be discovered. I watched all 7 episodes on HULU.COM and fell in love with these characters. The dialogue was smart and funny. I didn't want a repeat of Gilmore Girls, that would have resulted in disrespect to both projects. This show totally stood on it's own merit. I agree with others that it would have worked better as a one hour dramedy. The laugh track (canned or live) didn't bother me. It worked with the set but maybe not as well with the script. I am sick of CSI and all the dead bodies and violence I'm forced to endure - even worse are the mindless, tasteless reality shows (galore). I am relegated to Food Network, HGTV or a news network. I really, really hope this show finds a home on another network.

I would love to see a project (big screen or small) co-authored by ASP and Nancy Meyer (What Women Want and Something's Gotta Give).

It sucked...

You know, that with the cast of this show, it really could have been a lot more better. I can understand why they pulled this show off air, and quit making more episodes. It was just absolutely dreadful to watch. But in a small way I will admit that it was like a seeing a bad accident or wreck..you just could not pull yourself away form it...had to see what more they would do on this show.

Lauren Ambrose was stunning and a wonderful addition to the most colorful and bright cast on the show Six Feet Under..but her character in this show was just a major down grade of her abilities as a most wonderful and beautiful and smart actress.

And as for Posey..maybe she should just stick to making movies. She is a wonderful and brilliant actress..but not in a made for television sit com. She just was too overly robotic, and snappy. Not what all I expected to see with this cast. Very disappointed in deed.

I like Posey and Ambrose usually but...

I like Parker Posey in the movies, Lauren Ambrose in Six feet Under, the script seemed alright snappy at times, but I just didn't like it it just seemed awkward, overacted and staged.

Parker Posey Is A Goddess

Parker Posey is the best actress in the wonderful I am dying now that this show has been canceled. I loved it. Her witty comedy was too much for mainstream audiences to grasp I'm sure. This show should never have been on Fox to begin with. Such a stupid station. We can't expect people to actually think during prime time. Bring on more King of The Hill.

I'm absolutely convinced that the awful title killed this show

Seriously, if "Two and a Half Men" can be the top comedy on TV, this show ought to at least capture an audience. Men (of which I am one) will watch a comedy about two sisters if it's funny (and the sisters are attractive) but that title pretty much warned the men in the audience to stay away. Going out of your way to alienate half the audience may work on whatever chickenshot network Gibson Girls was on (whatever network it was, I couldn't get it on my TV) but on Fox, it's pretty much driving a stake through your own heart. It's a shame, though. It was funny, and Parker Posey and Lauren Ambrose are freaking adorable.

Hoping for DVD or more episodes on Hulu

I had never heard of this show, until I saw it here. I saw that FOX canceled it after 3 episodes and figured it must be good (Wonderfalls, Firefly, Family Guy). The pilot started out a little slow, but once the characters were introduced I really started to like it. I think Parker Posey does a good job and I've always been a fan of Lauren Ambrose. So hopefully the rest of the episodes (assuming they filmed more) will appear on Hulu or at least DVD.

Not a Good Show

They cancelled this show quickly and for good reason. It's just not good. The writing is terrible. - The acting was fine and I'm sure the cast will go on to do better things.

I think it is a fabulous show. It is different enough from the other shows out there. it is a fun plot line and I would really like to see what happens.
