And they cancel it. There must be a real hunger for silly slapstick nonsense, but it gets old. This show was fun, felt a little more real than most, and while obviously not realistic in many ways, put women in positions of power while dealing with every day difficulties. I'm so tired of stupid jokes and empty plots. They have their place but it was wonderful to be able to relax for about 50 minutes and get involved with characters that gave a little bite to their roles. Not to mention some of the twists I didn't see coming. Once that happens, I stop wishing for anything to be different, I just wait for the ride. Television is never 'realistic' otherwise it wouldn't be television, and I resisted watching based on the title. But bored one day I put it on Hulu while working and found it more interesting than anything I've seen in a while. Men probably don't watch at all, too involved and not much for them to relate to. Is that because it lacks the slapstick? Or, because there's too much lipstick?
