Chicago Joke
This show premiered the the same night as another hour drama set in a Chicago hospital, ER. ER is a much stronger show. When the network figured out they had a dud on their hands, they moved it to another night, and it limped along for a few years.
You had a lunatic heart surgeon played by Manny Patinkin who would torture us with his awful singing. The plot was almost the same. The mealy mouthed doctor played by Adam Arkin and the loony heart doctor would propose some really off the wall treatment, the bald one (Hector something) would scream about it, then it would be done. Example, a cancer patient has a tumor in his groin. Instead of removing the tumor, he is cut in half at the waste (hence no sexual organs, legs, anus or anything else below where his waist was. Chicago Hope
Chicago Hope is a Great Show. I watched some a long time ago, then tried to watch it on steaming video. Only so many episodes. :( Is it being aired on a channel?
