Are you honestly suggesting most women watch military programming as often as say, their bothers. fathers. or boyfriends do? Get a grip and come down off your high horse. I suppose Lifetime Channel demographics are equally male oriented as female and The Military Channel viewers are equal in percentage as well? Watch the commercials... advertisers know. Moreover. one of the fastest growing design and renovation trends in home improvements is home entertainment centers integrated into basement and family room projects. A large percentage of that group includes separate areas for children and a huge boom in dedicated rooms with a generally male- oriented theme; sports teams. multiple tvs. gaming equipment and wet bars. About a third of my clients with this goal in mind are... surprise... women buying the renovations for their husbands as a surprise! Many specifically refer to it as a man-cave (even though they intend to use it as well occasionally) and most of these women have put a lot of thought into the design and mention the show Man Caves as an idea generator. They are only too happy to give their family members a place of their own because frankly, most of them are not sports fans to the degree some others are. Imagine that! And yet somehow to you that would be a perception only gleamed from tv stereotypes and lack of female friendship spouted fourth by a chauvinist??? You two are pathetic issue oriented idiots. Get out more! This is one contractor who knows for a fact that women now account for nearly 55% of home remodeling budget dollars overall nationwide but that doesn't mean i expect them to always join me in the garage working on the cars or in the basement watching the latest episode of Wings on the Military Channel. Some do, some don't. Oh, and my girlfriend ( who is a PhD by the way) has her own she-cave where her and her friends have nights to themselves occasionally. TV is not the draw here but they watch reality programming i can't fathom just like they don't care for a lot of my choices. I hate to break it to you preachers, but most couples have differences in movie/tv preferences. No, really! And yet we survive. This is not sexist, this is not derogatory..., it is what is and if that really bothers you.... I wish you luck.

I agree, but perhaps his only perception of what women are like is from the stereotypes on TV, no real life friendships with women. The term "man-cave" is probably a good indicator.

While I concur with you appraisal of this series, I fail to see how your sexism is relevant to the show itself. In the future, perhaps you should only comment on the content of the show, and not make chauvinist comments on the gender that may prefer it. After all, I am a woman and I enjoy delving into history, as do many of my other female friends and family.
