Highly disappointed. The storyline seems to have gotten to in depth too soon. First, the whole Will and Clara thing. Clara Griffin, granddaughter of the late Nigel Griffin, was introduced in season 1 episode 12 - Revelations part 1. She had to use her invisibility, in which she inherited from her grandfather, to help retrieve the vial of pure vampire blood. Last heard of her was she was leaving to another facility to learn more about her powers. Nothing of her and Will dating. Not getting to know anything really about her before her death was pointless.
Also, the ill replacement of Ashley by some hired hand chick just isn't the same. For a minute there I thought they were gonna take "Big Guy" out of the picture too. I'd lost all interest at that point.
Then the introduction of abnormals in which we've never seen or heard of. They should be concentrating more on showing more about what all types of abnormals there are rather than jumping straight into some big war in which is solely to kill off and bring in whom ever.
Ranted enough. I hope they pull things together, otherwise this show is gonna die fast. yet another that starts strong, takes a bad twist, and ends up as a what if. Not happy with how the new season is starting at all. Just my opinion.

Anyone who ends something with "just my opinion" addends an implied "and yes, I know it is invalid." As for the war and such, I think this is essentially the end of the story arch which should have been ended in S1. Now, things can continue to develop slowly into their own arch. Lastly, I doubt they will replace ashley with Faith Jr. The character can't sustain it, and the producers are professional story-tellers.

Ok.. that.. sucked!... my hope is there's some freaky abnormal out there that can reintegrate Ashley and resurrect inviso chippy if not, I think I'm done as well.. cuz that SUCKED! I liked what little I saw of Griffins granddaughter and I loved Ashley but it was a Pyrrhic Victory that's for darned sure, ala Joss Whedon all over again cuz he's notorious for that rarr big bad here now let's sacrifice half our cast of characters that you've grown to really like but hey they won! now sadly.. if they DO bring them back it'll be even worse in a way cuz it's like their sacrifices were for nothing substantial but we'll see.

I think they introduced the Invisible-girl-love-intrest for Will, too quickly and without careful thought in the first season...They realized afterward that they had also kinda-sorta hinted at a bit of a September-May Thing between Magnus & Will earlier in the season...
My guess is that the writers are going to go back to the original relationship between those two characters, especially after hearing that whole conversation on top of the Sanctuary Towers while they were waiting for the Ashley Trio to show up.The For-Hire Be-itch is a perfect replacement, She's not Will's type.
