Description

Ruby (Alexa Vega) has always wanted a family, and she thinks her search may be over when she finally meets her father for the first time, former 80s rock star, David Gallagher (David Cassidy). But David’s nightly gig at the local casino and his aging rock star lifestyle forces him to go to his estranged brother, Patrick Gallagher (Patrick Cassidy), for help. Patrick agrees to take Ruby in, having left the music scene long ago to lead a quiet life with his wife and two sons. Now, Ruby—a budding musician herself—tries her best to keep order within the Gallagher clan and in the process, discovers what it means to have a real family. I have seen every episode and loved every one. Ruby has such a fine voice and looks sweet...hope we hear more songs from her. When I watched the Partridge Family back in the day, I looked forward to the music and bought all the albulms- before CD's. This show has alot of potential. The stories are very entertaining and the actors relate seamlessly. Wishing for Ruby to do a collaboration with the Cassidy brothers.

I watched first two episodes, then stopped cos I thought the show was lame. I decided to try it again with the episode with Shirley Jones, but it's still a lame show. I agree that ABC Family took off much better shows in order to put shows like this one on. I think they tried to recreate The Partridge Family and also get some of the Hannah Montana aspects. But it's a case of been there seen that.

I loved every minute of this show. It shows alot of lessons we could all learn. Ruby and The Rockits was very entertaining! I give it five stars!

I know exactly how you feel! There are many shows I liked on ABC Family that were cancelled for stupid reasons and for lame, idiotic shows.
