Yeah don't forget about Revell, they produced models from three different Animes in a Series called Robotech Defenders.
I think there is like 6 companies with some form of rights to Robotech/Macross.
-FASA for battletech, which became Mechwarrior, which Microsoft bought, then sold to another company.
Comico - for Robotech series comic form, which I think they are out of business.
Revell - for various models of the of Macross plus the name Robotech. Which HG made deal with to use the name.
Harmony Gold - for the US rights, which was remasterd (Very Badly) by ADV, I mean come on a crashing jet with a prop driven airplane sound? Which Funanimation bought
There also is a company with the book format of Robotech.
Plus the pure hate Bandai has got for Robotech fans.
Plus the Clash of the bioroids English cut up awful dub of the Macross Movie.
Then the two movies related to Macross from Manga video, which were ok in some ways.
Of course the japanese have gotten, tons of macross stuff in the form of the First Macross series, The movie Macross "Do you remember love", Macross Zero, Macross 7, Macross Frontier, and a couple others.
The pain U.S. we fans have endured.
So it's all very very complicated.
