I really enjoyed this anime. It was an elegant story of self-discovery. I have to strongly disagree with the comments about the ending being awful. As for the lose ends, the other character stories and endings aren't important insofar as closure and tying up lose ends because that would detract from the fact that this is Rin Ogata's story and I found this ending to be fitting. It doesn't matter if we see what happens in the future because we know her choice and how she intends to live afterward.

Just something for you to check out. Watch both versions of the show dubbed and subbed and you'll notice the translation from the subbed is very different from the English script. Some of the differences are little and others completely change their conversations. It seems like they changed it to sync the mouthing on the dubbed version. Just thought it was interesting. I thought the ending was just right, all of the plots were resolved without cheating and the Heroine found herself and a moment of perfect beauty.

_I watched the first episode of this show as the subtitled version first by mistake, I then watched the vocally dubbed version right after. I missed so much of the show trying to read the dialog that I barely understood the story. I would like to watch the remaining 10 episodes however, I refuse to watch the subbed versions.

_Hulu please get the remaining dubbed episodes soon.

Ever been out there (doing whatever they do best) and felt that shine coming off of them? The character development was great, the gun fighting scenes were fun but all were pale shadows to the feeling that was brought forward. Some one complained earlier about the whole dance not being shown, it's a poetic service, our minds are infinitely more creative and beautiful than the human form, the mechanical form or any form that we can draw, but given the right images and the right music we might just get an idea about how beautiful it was for her and how she shared that beauty.

I wish there was more and I'm glad it's done.

Wow, we had completely opposite takes on this one. I Would have liked it to follow the racing instead of diverging into the serious nature in which it did.

Ride Back starts out like a unique take on the tired mecha anime and even adds a cool element of racing and ballet. But its all ruined by trying to go epic.
It started out like The Matrix, Cool and a little unique, only less special affects and better characters but then It ends like the sequels only with no spectacular special effects. So disappointing. If only they had not gone epic with it and kept it rutted in the character development and racing. Or toned the violence down a little. Like NO LARGE SCALE GUN BATTLES. I didn’t need them running around was cool enough. If the GWP had been a lot less evil it would of worked better.
