To answer your question of does it help his reviews, yes, it does for me. If Richard Roeper who I respect greatly says "It's funny as shi*!" then I absolutely want to see the movie, it must be hilarious. See 3 other replies

Roeper can say what he likes, this is the Internet -- I understand your frustration but you have zero control over what Richard or anyone else puts on here, these were not made for Hulu and they are just cataloged here.

You can choose not to watch the Richard Roeper's show or you can pre-screen them if you want your children to watch them, if you don't want to do either of those well then option #1 is still on the table.

You are way TOO sensitive for the internet. Seriously. Your rant combined with the fact that you think these reviews were recorded exclusively for hulu make you sound like an out-of-touch 80 year old grouch. See 3 other replies

Just because he is on Hulu, Roeper decides to start dropping four letter word bombs all over the place, why? Does it help the review to say words that George Carlin went to jail for when he used them? His reviews are as effective as they were on TV, but seriously, expressing them in a way that is not safe for all viewers is pompous and exploitative of Hulu - not to mention that Huu PUT UP NO WARNING to advise viewers. He doesn't do it in all reviews only some and that makes it harder for the unprepared viewer to choose wisely in avoiding words that are banned from the airwaves. If Roeper wants to continue to say things a school teacher would be in trouble for saying that's his choice but Hulu NEEDS TO ADD AN ADULT WARNING FOR ADULT LANGUAGE, to allow viewers to make an informed choice instead of being blindsided.

This is one of the best reviews shows I have seen. And I'm a film student. The classic joke goes those who cant make films, review films. And thus I despise most reviewers, who are nothing but discouraged cynical failures of the medium.

But Roeper, is one great reviewer in my eye. He doesn't ONLY look at the artistic value of a film like a classic critic. But grades a film on over all entertainment value AND artistic worth. All in one fail swoop. Generally giving opinions that I totally agree with.

Not only is the choice of reviewer great, but the format is great to. Instead of reading a newspaper article about a visual medium. or a half hour long show filled with upcoming movies. This is just 2-8 minute shorts that show Roeper talking about the film, clips of the film, and his grade. Short, sweet, and to the point. I can easily watch this in spare time on the go anywhere anytime. Getting quick yet meaningful reviews for all the upcoming films.
