I was going to watch the shorts but thanks to the feedback that informed me about the lack of diversity with women of color I am definitely moving on to something else. Hollywood and mainstream media have overlooked the artistic contributions of women of color for so long it is appalling. I wish they would highlight the beauty and intelligence of all women not just those who fit into a euro-centric aesthetic ideal that is ultimately unattainable even for European descendants.

I don't see what so great about this short film? There is nothing learned from the film. I assumed the mom knows by now that her dad made a bad decision by let her negociate the price, right? How come she made the same thing with kid. So she did not learn anything from the past or she willing made the same mistake to honor her dad maybe.
So the lesson is to make the same mistake your parents made with your own kids.

As soon as I saw that there were some short films by the most powerful women in hollywood, I was very excited. We all know that film business in tinsel town is tough business and it's a man's world. However, as all these films were made by women, I was excited to see the diversity of women being portrayed but I was very disappointed to find that besides Rosario Dawson, women of color did not exist in any of these films, and I don't recognize any women of color directors. What message is Glamour Magazine/HULU trying to send to their diverse readers/viewers?

I have to agree with Dri. Hulu has to recognize that a diverse group of people visit its webstie. there is no reason why all the shortfilmd would have only white actors what country do these movies take place in! it can't be America. I am dissapointed and hope that HULU and Glamour considers the diversity of its members and provide entertainment that reflects all of us.

The films are great, what a beautiful concept...but I'm sure all of Glamour magazine's readers are not Caucasian. Besides Rosario Dawson in Little Black Dress, all the directors and actresses are White women. This concept would have been even stronger if there was more diversity in both directors and actors in the films. I could see women like Sandra Oh, America Ferrera, Tracy Ellis Ross and many others doing amazing things for a project like this. It would've been a truly eye-opening and progressive project to have seen a whole spectrum of women in tv and film represented here.
