When they're not bashing some guy into the concrete, they're doing everything but comparing their 'my little pony' dolls. For the first few episodes they have the most disturbing habit of falling into spontaneous poorly sung musical soliloquies. And the tragic death-scene speech about a broken nail took superhuman effort to sit through.

The back-story was poorly fleshed out and felt like something tacked on as an afterthought.

I gave points for the art -- giving each character a noticeably different facial and body type, but I had to subtract them for the animation for their overuse of minimally animated still-shots.

At first it looked like episode 23 was going to redeem the entire series, but half way through it the story line dropped in a cruel demonstration of plottus interruptus resulting in a very painful case of blue eyes.

The closing theme of E23 was the only decent music, and you can safely skip episodes 6-18.

very different but very suspenseful and hard to make predictions which is gooood. i also really appreciate the style of drawing, very realistic backgrounds, i mean almost all anime backgrounds are more realistic then the charactures but this one just has a certain feel to it, probably because it takes place in New York.

This anime is a little bit boring. There is too much screaming and complaining and less action with the fighting. All they do is run and scream I can't kill him and let Clair do all the fighting. The drawing is weird too. That woman's lips are HUGE.

I finished reading this review and started watching Red Garden. Two days later and all episodes behind me, I must say that this series was all the reviewer stated .
I would also recommend this for fans of serious anime.

Gotta say I gave it 4 episodes and couldn't go on. It just was plodding along with the girls trying to get a grip on what happened to them and the crying and screaming just got to me. It was too much like the sorority girls being hunted by Freddy.

The noses on the girls were way too funny. One second the nose is invisable and the next the girls are Cyrano Debergerac! See 1 other reply

Well personally I always like to give any and all programs a chance. At least a couple of episodes (5 is the bare minimun I give pretty much any anime, just in case it turns out to be a good anime). At the begining of the series I was almost and about ready to just stop watching it... Altogether but as I kept watching it got more interesting.
So, as far as blood and gore goes its got some. Definetly not as much as Hellsing but we are talking about totally different animes all together. If you are looking for blood and gore to the power of 10 check out Hellsing.
This anime so far (on ep. 5) Ive seen deals more with trying to come to terms with what happened and why they're still around.
So give it a chance thats all that can be said. If you end up liking you will if not you wont. Personally I do think it could have done with a bit less of the whole crying and having a nervous breakdown in pretty much every episode so far. But I do guess that is what does set this anime apart from others of the similar (violence/blood/gore monster fighting) genre.

Another thing I would like to add PG13 movies can only say F *ck once if they say it more in the movie they get an R rateding. So maybe this show can only get away with when they say it a few time or something? At this point I'm on episode five and they sad it atleast twice. See 2 other replies
