This isn't a high-adrenaline, action-packed show, but in my opinion it is nice to see a different angle on real estate and home purchases other than the stressed out house flippers who are always over budget, out of time, mistreating their contractors, and scraping together a lousy finish job minutes before their open house, hoping that the aroma of the fresh apple pie they just brought in the kitchen will somehow make buyers think their crummy remodeled house is fantastic.
As someone who has not yet gone through the home buying experience, I find it interesting and informative to be exposed to numerous aspects of the real estate business through this show. Another thing I like is that each episode deals with a different kind of situation. One is related to first-time home buying, another is a recently inherited house, another is sold at a public auction, etc. They do a good job as well of inserting points of instruction or facts about real estate, so it is not just following one person's story.
The only thing I don't like about this show is that it is set entirely in California. While this is interesting, I think much more could be learned if the sampling of realtors being filmed was across the US.
