Raines

I never understood why this show ended after only one season. And it looks like I'm not the only one. Jeff Goldblum has grown on me through out my many years of seeing him in movies and TV. And I thought Raines was an especially interesting spin on a cop show. Though he is very good in the new Law and Order Criminal Intent, I wish Raines would have kept going. At least I can now watch that special first and only season here!

Like so many shows, Raines was canceled way too soon. This show was quirky, funny, interesting, and didn't leave me feeling like I had wasted hours of my life like a few shows that are still on the air today. Why is it that the networks keep canceling fabulous shows before they have a chance to be discovered by a larger audience? With some shows it takes a little while for word of mouth to spread. Give things a season for goodness sake!

Somebody already mentioned the sad fact that American Idol is still on the air, whereas this fantastic show died far too young. I heartily agree with the tragedy of that, but hey, at least one of the old networks had the guts to give it to us for a short while. Maybe, just maybe, a wonderful site like hulu can help show the network dummies the error of their ways for canceling it! (Remember Star Trek, boys and girls?)Hey out there in network TVland, wise up. Let hulu shine a little light into your tiny brains. Some of us out here still prefer shows like this one, shows that do not insult our intelligence, that tell us stories worth our time, with style, produced, written and acted by really talented people, contrasting sharply with the idiocy presented on the likes of American Idol, the crawling host of "reality" shows, and the other assorted garbage out there.Thanks, hulu... keep 'em coming, and we'll keep watching!
