Description

From Sally Potter, director of the Oscar-nominated Orlando, comes Rage, a film that focuses entirely on the individual performances of its world-class cast. Rage is about a young blogger, Michelangelo, at a New York fashion house who shoots behind-the-scenes interviews on his cell-phone. Fourteen actors, both celebrated stars and exciting emerging talents, play characters who each have a role in the fashion show: from the designer and his models (supermodel Lily Cole and Jude Law, stunning in drag), the toxic fashion critic (Academy Award winner Judi Dench) the desperate war photographer turned paparazzo (Steve Buscemi), the fashion house financier (Eddie Izzard) and his bodyguard (John Leguizamo). As they confide in Michelangelo, personal secrets are revealed and the reality of events taking place off screen begins to unravel.

I loved it and will watch it again and again. Great actors, great story. Loved the use of different background colors for each character. Didn't even know it was Jude Law until I read the credits for day 3! I want more.

Take famous actors and strip them of nothing but the words on a page....and this is the result. While some of the dialogue seems silly, it's all in the delivery. Take Dame Judith Dench and give her the phone book and she will have you hanging on her every word. Steve, Eddie, and John are amazing....Jude Law is hysterical in full drag, and looks too natural as a catty queen!

Watch from start to finish and find yourself wondering what the F the director was thinking...but good films should make you think just that.....while not tidy from start to finish, it's a film worth watching just to see how the spoken word is still a powerful medium as now from when the first words were heard on film almost 100 years ago!

Sally Potter don't ever do this again!!!!!!!! I actually tried to stick it out all 7 episodes but after what 3.. I was pissed........ LAME!!!!!!!!!!!
