Prime Suspect

aaaaaaaaaaaaaa....please bring this show back... and keep the creative minds employed, I DESPISE REALITY SHOWS .... and the "actors" they all have such miserable lives..pleeeeaaaaaaasssseeeeeeee....

This was such a great show. Great energy, quirky characters, great story lines and Maria Bello is superb as Detective Timiney. Seems some of the really great shows only last a season yet crap like the Kardashians or Dance Moms just keep going and going. I guess there is no accounting for taste.

This program is based on the BBC series of the same name, starring Helen Mirren. Sadly, as always, when we "Americanize" a top British program, the one first thing we do over here is get a winning formula and throw it out the window. This program had the potential of really being something, and the producers really trashed it. They do this sam thing all the time.This program, if you watch the original, is garbage in comparision. They never should have put Maria Bello in Helen Mirren's shoes and then failed her with the writing and other casting. Maria is a good actor, and despite how bad the program was, I really expected it to have a measure of success, if only for her talent. This was not to be, and maybe that's for the best. We can rarely do television as interestingly as the cream of the crop from Britan, and I don't think we should even try. It looks embarassing.Do yourself a favor, and get the original versions from one of the online DVD rental places -- you will be a lot happier with it, and it is a LOT more realistic than this program could ever have been. I won't miss it, and I don't think you should either!

I really miss this show. It was a breath of fresh air with a lot of potential ! The cast was quirky
enough to keep you watching . We're being force fed all of these lousy reality shows and frankly what's the point of having all of these cable channels when they have nothing to offer but junk . and that's not to mention a policy of equal time for program and commercial !!
Maybe an Indie will pick up Prime Suspect in the manner Southland was picked up.
