First off to the people that posted the "horrible" reviews... you're depicting a movie that was made last century... did you expect the movie to have digital imaging as we do now..??? There have been a lot of good 80's movies but this was a movie that just goes to show "don't f**k with my family..." so what if it's about a Japanese family who came to America and the dad's a ninja...??? you guys need to focus on the movies made in this century if you're gonna write bad reviews...

No matter what people may say about the fight scenes, costumes, ACTING,etc., movies from that era were just plain old FUN. You don't watch Sho Kosugi for his acting prowess, his masterful command of the English language, or his sense of fashion. You watch him because he puts foot to backside, plain and simple.
Just think about every coming of age film that you've ever seen. You can best believe that they truly weren't Oscar nominating performances, but, they damned sure were fun. And that's why you liked them. Look at the industry now...rehashing flicks from the '80's. Are the movies they choose good ones? Yeah, sort of. Are they running out of ideas---DEFINITELY, but, they are creative in the sense that they are introducing this gen to films of our day with a slight spin. Don't hate, folks. Reminisce, enjoy, and participate.

I liked this movie; it reminded me of when I was a teenager in the 80's. The effects were not the best but it was twenty plus years ago. Plus I loved ninja three the domination wich featured Sho Kosugi

reminds me of a lot of early 80's movies, the effects are cheesy compared to stuff now, but considering what it was in it's day, it was pretty dang good. Plus, Sho Kosugi is the leading character in this movie and he is easily the best known actor/martial artist during the 1980's ninja cinema craze. Speaking of which, don't forget to check out 'Ninja Assassin' due sometime in 2009. For all you guys that gave bad reviews, you need to google Sho Kosugi name and see all the bad azz movies he made you bunch of ignorant doosh-bags. It's movies like these that made martial arts movies what they are today.
