I had never seen this movie before. maybe bits and pieces on tv but not the whole thing. Im glad I finally watched it, it was worth it. I loved the part where he was chasig the guy and falls and hurts his knee then he holds him at gun point but lets him get away and fires into the air with rage in his scream. it was funny too cause it reminded me of hot fuzz!
I expected this movie to be a poorly acted bore with a thin plot. Much to my surprise, it was unbelievably awesome! This film embodies almost everything that was the 1990s; the clothes, music, underestimated cops versus bank robbers with lots of striaght forward gunfights and surfing. The acting was also very good. All of the characters were believable. This is a great, but largely forgotten movie.
Okay you see Keanu Reeves name and you think----Dude! Excellent!---this is gonna be crap---but---it isn't! Besides the Matrix, and maybe Constantine, and w/e that one was he was in with Sandra Bullock---this is right up there! The fact that Gary Busey was in this scared me too, but I was surprised to see a great performance by him in this too! Patrick Swayze is Patrick Swayze in yet another great film of his! And the guy from Scrubs does what he does best by playing boss again. Just a great film, great story, and great acting! jfwrtv.freeforums.org
