Playful Kiss

this show started out alright but then it got to the point where i jus could not watch any more. i mean i felt really sorry for her she followed him around to no end. and to be treated like that was just wrong.i would never in a million years be with a guy like that . the show was jut wrong.

There are some really likable supporting characters in this drama but they can hardly make up for the monotony of watching the two leads interact.If the hero were not played by Kim Hyun Joong he would be entirely unappealing. He is unnecessarily mean to the heroine much of the time and though he eventually does fall for her, it is hard to see why because there is very little perceivable chemistry between them. (He is cool and aloof act is a little too convincing.)The heroine, who continues to entertain warm feelings for the hero despite innumerable rejections, is even more frustrating. She is nothing short of obsessive about her crush, following him around to secretly watch him in parts of his life that aren't any of her business. Thanks to some comedic background music, the show makes her behavior seem cute, but really it's just embarrassing and tedious to watch her make the same mistakes over and over again, constantly stalking this guy and either getting caught red-handed or misunderstanding situations and causing trouble for the people around her. This role probably could have been played in a way that would have been endearing or at the very least funny, but this actress's performance just makes her seem outrageously immature and annoying.Neither of the leads really mature in an obvious or satisfying way by the time the series is done. When they eventually do get together it feels really forced and unnatural. They both looked better with each other's respective romantic rivals.There are some cute aspects of this drama to be sure, but it is not worth the 16.5 hours that you will invest in it.

The main character Oh Ha Ni completely reminds me of many girl characters in Manga/Anime. The actor who protray her does really well showing the emotions that Oh Ha Ni goes through. I've seen reviews of people saying she is whiny and not very mature, but it seems that those did not stick with the show for very long, She truely cares for everyone around her, sometimes having a big heart wins over not being so smart. She does learn alot even in just the first 9 episodes that I've watched so far. She saves a young kid's life even when she was scared and didn't fully know what to do. She makes one child's stay in the hospital enjoyable. Helps a friend try to win over a girl.The boy, Baek Seung Jo has alot more learning about life then Ha Ni, He is one of those guys who knows nothing about emotions and as Ha Ni enters Seung Jo's life he begins to learn alot of things about her. He begins to fall for her eithout knowing it himself as she shows him true happiness and how to have fun. It's a very cute show maybe not compared to Boys Over Flowers but on a level all it's own. ^_^

He got me started watching and paying attention on Korean showbiz.
I never even thought even once to watch them.
But because of boys over flowers his rule as Jihoo. Been looking forward to anything he be doing now.
However, this one character is good' I like it. Except for the lading lady, she just irritated me so much.
I could not handle how she was portraying women.
Simply a downer. She is what you called she is killing me.
Cannot continue watching. I actually pas and skip to watch some of the girl story line
She just down right disappointed me.
Any way I will always like Kim hyung joon. Because of him, my family wants to learn more about Korean people.
In addition, learn more their culture. Thanks.

I actually decided to watch all the episodes seeing all the "great" reviews for it and claims of how she "matures." I kept watching to see how she would turn out.Sadly, I was misled.The main character is annoying and whiny, and even with all the potential she has, she only devotes her time to stalking a guy. Seriously? It's not even charming or interesting, it was just down right creepy. Yet somehow she ends up with the guy. Okay, so maybe they were meant to be together with their messed up personalities and I know these dramas aren't suppose to be entirely 'realistic'... but I just didn't get it. She doesn't mature. She still has this obsessive infatuation over the guy to the end. She doesn't choose a path for herself but instead clings to one where she can be with him. Perhaps this is just blind devotion taken to an extreme, but it just didn't appeal to me.If you want to watch a drama with a whiny, annoying, clingy, stalking, stupid main character that DOESN'T grow and mature, go ahead. But this is just a warning for anyone who bothers to read it.Oh and for those who want to defend this drama, go ahead, but I'm just highly disappointed that I wasted my time watching it. Oh, and I watched this last summer and it still left a bitter memory.
