Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom

In the description boy gets captured into a society of assassins. One of the first "missions" he goes on is to kill a crime boss AND HIS ENTIRE FAMILY. This includes a 4 year old girl. A lot of people would rather die than murder an innocent child. But this really sets up the end of the story, in the way that, that particular act is irredeemable.The boy assassin takes in a girl. There is a bombing where they live. Believing she's dead he leaves, but she wasn't dead and thinks he abandoned her. She becomes the next assassin. The girl is like 11 at the time. Two years later she shows up for revenge and can not be reasoned with, plus in a few years she has gone from 11 to a buxom 20 something. At the end in a WTF? style ending a gunshot rings out as the main character is off screen sitting in a field.I am a big fan of Noir and Madlax. I have watched over 5000 hours of anime series and this is one is bad. Contrived story, out of this world hypocritical/conflicting character actions. Some anime's are just to exploit morality to make you feel like you're brain has had a a session with a cheese grater. This series uses that technique, but without any purpose. The viewer's going, "What the hell?" over and over till the end, when they ask "WTF did I just see?! Why was I led along to THIS conclusion?" It's offensive to people's intelligence, not in a story telling way to make you think, but a continuing succession of impossibilities, to disgust the viewer to no end. I like animated violence, like watching Fist of the North Star, but this isn't violence to make an moral a statement. It's to exploit the viewers morality and make them feel used. That's it's purpose and to keep the viewer watching, in hopes there was a reason for it, so they can find out why such a horrible thing was there in the story. But there's no reason for those scenes.Very bad. Avoid it unless you want to waste hours of your life. Please watch Noir.
