The theory of evolution is something I take on faith in the same way that the theory of gravity is something I take on faith. End of story.

Reading over old posts, and I forgot to mention something else. If there is no objectivity to anything, then there is no objectivity to your words. If there is no objectivity to your words, then you cannot convey meaning. If you cannot convey meaning, then in effect you've said nothing. What makes this even more funny is that you're going to assume my words have objective meaning if/when you read this without even considering the possibility that my words do not mean anything. Teehee :3

Thank you for fleshing that out more, Patrick. The first paragraph of yours is what I was saying. I had hoped that was the message I was giving by saying there is objectivity to the color, but I should have said that objectivity is wavelength. On your second paragraph, you're right. There are some Buddhists who do pray to him as a deity, but I was clarifying that he never claimed himself to be such. I actually find it amusing that Buddhists see him as somewhat of a god given their espoused belief system.

Nikolas is right. Although I wish he had mentioned that we can actually measure color via the wavelength of light. You might label a particular wavelength differently but it's still the same wavelength and so the same color. The only difference lies in either the label or how your brain interprets the wavelength.I'd also like to point out that although Buddha never claimed divinity many lay Buddhists pray to him in the same way christians pray to god.

"Praise Allah!"He’s not my God, so I’d prefer not to. “Poor misguided people. Once people understand their actions are THEIR choice and not some "plan", then the world will be a better place.”People taking responsibility for their own actions? –gasp- Finally there’s something upon which we agree. Though… I could have sworn Christianity taught personal responsibility… If humans are not responsible for themselves, then how could we have sinned (active rebellion against the nature and will of God) and be in need of a savior…? Hmm… “Amen! :D”“Amen” is an ancient Hebrew word which translates to “So be it”. It’s not really appropriate here. Go with Yahweh, friend. Amen. (There we go :D)

“The earth has plenty of unexplained things, religion is NOT one of them. Religion made up by man to avoid ‘Death Anxiety’.”Yes, the Earth (it’s specific – capitalize it) has many unexplained things. How is that relevant? I have no idea. The problem with generalizing “religion” is that you have to abandon all integrity to do so. What you have to do is examine and disprove each religion individually. Also your statement about religion being an invention of man to avoid “Death Anxiety” is merely a figure of imagination with no evidence to back it up. The funny thing is that even if there was evidence to back it up (which I assure you there is not – prove me wrong), you would have to, by your own standards, reject it because it will not be scientific evidence. Tee hee. “And I don't EVER want to hear a church-going person talk about deceit, considering that's what all religions are based on whether you pull your head far enough out of your rear to understand to realize it or not..”So every church-going person is 1) genuine about what they believe and 2) a hypocrite who practices deception on a regular basis? Also all religions are based upon the same thing? You know those generalizers, they’re all alike. Maybe you should actually look into these religions and their teachings instead of having your head so far up your rear that you are ignorant of what you condemn. If you’re not careful, you’ll sound like an uneducated zealot. For the record I don’t go to what is generally considered a “church”. Does that mean I’m not deceptive? Thanks for the compliment. :3c

Tags are user-generated labels related to this video or show that can help you discover related videos on Hulu. Check the tags you feel are most appropriate for this show or add your own (the number in parentheses indicates how many other users have used that tag.) To find other shows with similar tags, simply click on the tag that interests you most.
Tags are keywords or category labels that can help you and others find videos on Hulu. They also classify videos for later recall. You can tag videos yourself by simply checking the box next to a popular tag for a video or by using the "add" field to create a new tag. Click on any tag — "comedy" for example — to discover other videos similarly tagged by you or other users. Because tags are reviewed by Hulu, there may be a delay in surfacing your tags. The most relevant tags are sorted by category for the rest of Hulu to see. You may assign up to 30 tags for any video or show; to review all of your tags, see the Tags section on your profile page.
Your tags may be visible to other users on Hulu. You should not use:
Profane or obscene language
Tags that are inciting or spiteful
Tags that might harass, abuse or threaten members of the community
Tags that may reveal your personal information or any personal information about children under age 13
Tags that promote illegal or immoral conduct
Tags containing special characters or more than 50 characters
