This weekly address may be one of the best things for our "on the go, no time for the newspaper, lets get everything we need from a podcast" type of nation.
I am not one who can say that i have cared much about (or payed attention to) our leadership, but, i can now say i make an honest attempt to.
I have to say, that, if it weren't for Bush helping foul things up and giving the nation a big slap to wake us up. We would be worse off.
I am sad to say that even tho we have had many misfortunes in the past 4-5 years we as a nation have not yet learned from it. As the economy got worse some people got richer. Have we not learned that our biggest enemy is ourselves? greed and personal gain (greed) is the thing that will befall our nation.
We are looking abroad for terrorists. The term itself, describes someone who uses fear and disorganization to their advantage profiting from it. If you haven't realized it by now the 9/11 thing kicked off a lot of home grown "terrorists" using the disorganization to profit from the disaster ("donate to the victim's families") we over looked this fact, it barely made anything but local news. We never look in a direction other than where the media shows us, and they were diverting our attention away from what was happening at home, we are a nation of cattle that can be herded into a straight line and led to our deaths for others to consume.
Everything this president is doing is helping us become free again, it is just hard for us to break normal habit, (cattle will die if left to fend for themselves)
Good thing is we are not cattle, and I hope people will wake up our government started as a group of people who had enough gaul to break free of a government that was harming them and set forth rules to allow (certain) freedoms wich were being taken from them. He is trying to include us in the government, the way our founders intended.
