I'm not going to beat myself up over this. 20+ yrs ago when I was studying computer languages one of my teachers told us about -- basically an easter egg -- where date(0) or something like, was the birthday of one of the giants. I've looked for it, couldn't find it.

Bjarne Stroustrup was born in 1950. He would have been too young to write C++ if he was born in 1969. 10-year-olds didn't have access to mainframes. See 6 other replies

Figured that much -- but ya gotta admit, it sure looks silly. More likely they left out the year -- pretty sure the default date is in 1969 -- being Bjarne Stroustrup's birthday (inventor of C++) See 6 other replies
