It's real. I have actually seen a few stories on it. It's odd and clearly rather rare but so are many other things. I forget where I learned about it but I remember them saying it's not so rare only 1 person has it or even the name of it. But I think it has something to do with thin blood (didnt watch the story on here so I dont know what they say) but It might have to do with a gland that is torn. It's been awhile so I cant remember everything just enough to remember it was real...

Whoops I guess human exocrinology is not a real specialist field. (The only references I've found are hacks selling pheromones.) In that case, a dermatologist with sweat gland experience might be called for.Apocrine syncrhonization might even be a bizarre explanation for why this only happens when her mother is around.Still I think this whole issue would have made for a better episode of House than NGC Presents.

I agree that the symptoms do seem fake. I'm curious to know why only a hematologist was involved and not also a dermatologist or exocrinologist.If this is not a hoax, the most probable pathology to me seems to be capillary malformations near the merocrine/apocrine glands.This girl may be sweating blood.

I think when a medical doctor said that the bleeding was coming from outside of her eyes and not inside the tear duct even that she may have munchausen by proxy that is where the camera shoulda gone off...why give these people more attention when it is obvious that is what they wanted in the first place.

The bleeding eyes story just seems somewhat fake considering the cameras were there to record everything else. Did they not consider recording her all the time? The show was aired in 2009 and we do have reality shows where the cameras are on for 24/7 hours. Come on. Can NGC do better than that to get viewers? I really thought the ending was lame. And if it by chance is true, then it is and I would have to pre-apologize. Either way, it was captivating up until the inconclusive ending that was lame.
