Many people bash this show because it so called did not "live up" to the first ones standards but you can not compare a show made in 1967-1975 to ones made in the 1990's. I am currently a Los Angeles Police Officer and my grandfather worked in the old days as the first adam-12. In the early 90's a daily beat would be boring as hell to watch but back in the 70's before they had hand radios and Kevlar vests most cops were on their own. My grandfather could run circles around me in stories. This show not only depicts a good sense of humor with the job but it sheds some brightness on it instead of being completely negative and trying to prove a point to the younger generation. That worked back then but if you try that now and even in the 90's that wouldn't have worked. This show is a great show to "enjoy" and not teach you anything. The bottom line is NO COP SHOWS ARE REAL. If they were you would watch most of it writing tickets and nearing the end of the day filling out hours of paperwork. I have been a police officer in LA since 2003 and I have never fired my weapon at a human neither has my partner (a 12 year vet).If you like old 80-90's cop shows you will like this one give it a chance and have an open mind.
