So right. The SciFi era shows were usually pale in comparison to the Comedy Channel ones. I've liked Bill Corbett in Rifftrax, but genuinely thought his version of Crow was lacking after Trace left. Host sketches generally went downhill too, IMHO. See 32 other replies

I like Mike a bit better. I have seen more shows with him, but the ones with Joel are very good too. My favorite episode so far is "Mitchell," and I think it was a great send-off for Joel. See 32 other replies

The Mike Nelson era was a vast improvement over what had come before. Joel seemed so dull and bored. Once Professor Bobo, Brain Guy, and Pearl were introduced it added another dimension to the show's format that was wearing a bit thin---especially if the feature was not particulary good. They heave had their fair share of clunker episodes, but where few and eclipsed by the good ones. Rifftrax nor Film Crew are wholly satisfying substitues for the MST 3K format. I miss da 'bots. Will someone resurrect this show. See 32 other replies

Hands down...Joel all the way. Mike was just way too chipper and cheery. Plus Joel had the best inventions and songs. Just better episodes all around. I can understand people who started watching the show with Mike liking him better, but I'll never get how old school fans can prefer Mike. I remember crying at the end of Mitchell when Joel left lol.
