Murder One

an exceptional work. great story plot, superb acting, dynamite pace. it's been a while since i've seen a who-done-it of this scale and magnitude. in all honesty, there are several tv series that could learn a few things from 'murder one'. the idea of a series' long story plot seems to have been abandoned, leaving viewers to a string of shows comprised solely of 'stand-alone' episodes that always end on the same note. 'murder one' shows that a mystery spanning an entire season CAN BE DONE! stand-alone episodes are meant to solidify minor characters, add validity to a story's setting, theme, etc. there are only a few who have followed in 'murder one's' footsteps, and they too are exceptional: 'the shield', 'sons of anarchy' and 'fringe' come to mind right now. and there are some that are very good but lack an on-going plot, hopefully they will take note and follow suit. i enjoyed almost every part of this series, even the sound track; and it was nice to see a younger mary mcormick in her pre 'in plain sight' days. i've yet to see season two, hopefully it will be just as great. thanks hulu for making this available.

This is an awesome show....if you don't mind a plot line being taking 23 episodes to run its course. In my opinion, this is the Arrested Development of drama. Great acting, great plot, great everything.

After watching the first few episodes, I wasn't too sure about the show and was a little concerned about the story-line being dragged out over so many chapters. But with each new episode I found myself even more anxious for the next and discovered I was becoming attached the characters and their stories. It was like a really good book that I just couldn't put down. I ended up watching the entire first season in a day and a half and can't wait to start watching season 2.

I've watched the first season in one breath, one weekend, and when it's over, I am left with a positive feeling.. I feel like I've learned something - a more positive outlook, a better understanding of how the world works, and more appreciation of people around me. The story drew me in after first 10 minutes, and it is simply amazing at how real it felt throughout. I'd recommend the first season to anyone who enjoys a well-crafted story with thoughtful dialogs.

I stumbled across Murder One when browsing hulu's tv offerings. I don't remember it at all though I was definitely around in the 90s. I started with season 2 and then watched season1 and with both seasons I was completely captivated. The writing, directing, and acting provided such a remarkable contrast to the predictable, poorly done crime dramas of today. What am I going to do now? Any suggestions?
