Mr. Stain on Junk Alley

I don't really remember how I stumbled across this weird series but after watching the first episode "Egg" I was addicted. The series starts out a little strange to new viewers but after awhile you get sucked into these character's world and their struggles. I love how each episode (except the last) are only 7-8 minutes long yet packed full of story, which is more than can be said about most animations. The show is short simple and sweet, I simply adored it.

This was the best "WTF!?!" experience I've had all week! How many times did I scan back a few frames to be sure I had actually seen what my eyeballs told me I saw?Mr. Stain is a sad sack residing in an almost hidden alley, living off of whatever junk he finds. Although donuts seem to be a staple food, lovingly crafted, cute and colorful characters are often killed and eaten, sometimes choked down with bitter tears. He's got a friend - a huge cat that seems a bit dangerous to be around. They both take some serious beatings/stabbings and bleed a lot. Bad things happen. Friends become mortal enemies. Babies die on milk. Mothers are eaten in front of their children. Little girls lose their kittens forever...I haven't watched the Epilogue yet. It's the longest episode at over 30 minutes (the others are bite-sized 7-8 minutes). I think I'll need some popcorn and a higher-quality contraband for that.This animation is satisfyingly unexpected on lots of levels.

This show is so cute and clever it makes my face hurt.

This show is amazing I give to thumbs up and my friends thumb. This show story line is great I was not bored while watching and I will get the dvd for it. Because if I'm left out on this I will feel screwed.

Absolutely loved every single volume. I am definitely going to buy this on DVD to always have. A must watch for those whole want a show that's bizarre yet beautiful. So glad Hulu added this show!!!
